Business Development Manager – West / North Yorkshire (£40k - £45k + Commission)

We are working with a leading fit-out contractor within the construction industry, renowned for delivering high-quality, bespoke solutions to clients across various sectors, offering both consultancy and design and build services.

With offices across Yorkshire, they have built a strong reputation for excellence, innovation, and customer satisfaction.

Due to continued growth, our client is looking to expand their team with a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to help drive the next phase of success

The Role:
As a Business Development Manager, you will be a key player in growth strategy, responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing and nurturing client relationships, and driving sales.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients
  • Generating leads and managing the full sales cycle from initial contact to contract negotiation
  • Working closely with project teams to ensure smooth transition from sales to project delivery
  • Monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and client needs to stay ahead of the competition
  • Representing the company at industry events, meetings, and networking opportunities
  • Achieving sales targets and KPIs, with the opportunity to earn uncapped commission based on performance

You must have:

  • A passion for building client relationships, an entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • A proven track record in sales within the construction or fit-out sector
  • Strong understanding of the construction market, including trends, client needs, and industry challenges.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Self-driven with a target-oriented approach and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A strong network within the industry would be beneficial
