Subcontractor Payment Assistant : Full Time : Permanent

This house builder is one of, if not THE most financially stable in the North West and as a result can offer you a secure role with the opportunity to progress. Based in Cheshire, they now seek to appoint an experienced Subcontractor Payment Assistant.

Job Specification

•Responsible for ensuring that all subcontractor valuations, payments and other documentation are processed in accordance with HMRC guidelines
•Ensuring all payments and associated documentation are managed in a timely manner and with accuracy
•Maintaining good customer relationships both internally and externally
•Responsible for statement reconciliation, ensuring all key suppliers statement reconciliations are handled within specified time frames
•Setting up of new accounts and arranging verification with HMRC as necessary
•Responding to incoming communications within specified timescales
•Responsible for maintaining self-billing paperwork for relevant subcontractors
•Review and resolve valuation queries with the QS/MQS
•Keeping invoices and copy invoices for all subcontract works, logging and filing as appropriate

Qualifications / Experience

Suitable applicants will ideally have subcontract ledger experience within the Construction Industry and an awareness of the VAT implications in relation to self-billing accounts.

You will be proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office packages including Excel, Word, and Outlook and have the ability to prioritise your own workload working to tight deadlines.
