Senior Quantity Surveyor

The Company:

We are working with a Regional Building Contractor who are well established in the North West, privately owned, profitable and are active in a number of market sectors including; education, leisure, healthcare, commercial and industrial.

The Role:

Due to an excellent pipeline of work chiefly secured via a number of key regional construction frameworks, they are now in a position to add to their small North West commercial team.
The role is office based with site visits : you would typically oversee the commercial performance of 2-3 projects valued up to £3 Million based within a 25 mile radius of the office.

General responsibilities will include the following;
Undertake all commercial and contractual requirements on the designated projects in accordance with the company procedures and processes : highlighting potential contractual issues.
Ensuring sound financial performance including profitability, cash flow, and managing risks and opportunities.
Preparation of accurate and detailed cost reports for review with the Commercial Director.
Preparing and agreeing Monthly Valuations, including valuing variations and forecast final account.
Appointment of Subcontractors in accordance with Company Procedures, including procurement and account management including valuations, payment notices and agreement of final accounts.
To work closely with Contracts Management to ensure all required site records and correspondence are completed in accordance with the specific Contract requirements and Company Procedures.
Maintain close working relationship with the client and their representatives to assist in the success of the project.
Liaise with Contracts Management to review and monitor project costs whilst achieving high standards of quality and health and safety.

You:

They would like to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a good track record of working in a similar role for a similar building contractor.#
They would also welcome applications from Assistant Quantity Surveyors looking for the opportunity to progress in to this role.
You will be based in or be able to commute to the North West of England daily.
You will be IT literate and will be contractually aware.
