Our Client:
We are working with a growing regional contractor who we've worked with over the last 10 years.
They have a very experienced and successful senior management team, are renowned for the way they treat their employees, secure the majority of their projects with repeat clients (they are good at what they do and tend to leave their clients pleased with their projects) and plan to grow their construction division by 20%-30% over the next 18 months.
They work exclusively across North Wales and the North West of England.

The Role:
They are now in a position to add to their small Planning team.
Typical projects are generally constructed for Public and Private Sector clients and are generally within the education, residential, healthcare/care, commercial or industrial sectors and are usually valued to £10 Million.
Reporting in to the Senior Planner you'll be involved in both tender and contract planning with a bias towards contract planning with typical duties including the following;
• Progress monitoring, analysis and reporting against project baselines
• Production of accurate As Built data
• Develop and maintain relationships with project stakeholders
• Interpretation of contract documentation
• Development of information release programmes and schedules
• Short-term construction planning including liaison with supply chain/design team as appropriate
• Consider potential delays and assist in their mitigation
• Ensure company Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental policies are adhered to
• During preconstruction use subcontractor programmes to form detailed programme models
• Attend meetings/interviews to present planning strategy
• Interpret tender documentation
• Assist in prelim build-up with the Estimator
• Production of method statements/construction phase plans as appropriate
• Identification of programme/buildability risk

Ideally, you will have worked in a Planning role for 2 years+ previously with a building contractor : they would also consider developing someone who has worked in a site or project management role looking to move in to Planning.
You will be based in or be able to commute to North Wales daily.
IT literate with experience using specialist planning software : they use ASTA.
