Mechanical Design Project Manager

• We are currently working with one of the North West’s fastest growing Building Contractors who carry out projects in the high rise residential, hotel, commercial, bespoke manufacturing and luxury homes sectors.

• The company are looking to recruit an M & E Manager to work closely with the existing team to be involved with the entire life cycle of projects from bid to delivery.

Key responsibilities will include-

• Working with the Estimating team to review the M & E Specifications and Drawings in order to offer a competitive edge through tender submissions.
• M&E review of the client’s tender documentation to establish feasibility and identify any issues that my arise and affect the programme moving forward.
• Attend project interviews during the tender process to offer technical M & E advice.
• Be involved in the procurement of sub-contractors and challenge them to ensure bids are value engineered to ensure best value.
• Manage the M&E installations on site including undertaking weekly M&E meetings to monitor sub-contractor progress, co-ordinating with the designers and planners to ensure the programme is being achieved.
• Attend the weekly client project meetings to address any queries relating to the M & E Package.
• Undertake M&E snagging on site and ensure all issues are resolved.
• Managing the commissioning process including writing programmes, liaising with the relevant bodies and ensuring client training is undertaken prior to handover.

The person.

• This role would suit an individual with a design background potentially with a Mechnical Sub - Contractor who understands the design detail of M & E content.
