Design Coordinator

The Company:

We are working with a leading Contractor whose NW Regional Construction team would generally deliver projects for clients principally based around Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, North Wales and Cheshire. Projects delivered in the region have been in the commercial, multi storey residential, industrial, retail and leisure sectors.

The Role:

They are now in a position to recruit a Design Coordinator to join their Regional Design team due to an excellent pipeline of projects due to start on site during 2019.
Generally, working alongside an experienced Senior Design Manager you will be tasked with controlling design activity on projects through the pre-construction and delivery phases.
You will look for opportunities for value engineering and provide advice on design risk to the commercial, planning, delivery and client teams.
You will produce, agree and manage realistic design programs.
You will ensure the delivery team are working to the correct specifications.


You will either have worked as an Assistant Design Manager / Design Coordinator on construction projects previously or you may work in an Architectural role and be open to a new challenge.
You will be based in or be able to commute to the North West of England daily.
Commercially aware with an understanding of value engineering.
IT literate.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
